entry description
I came across an old abandoned school house on a back road near Miles City Montana, near the Badlands, which you can see in the back. This school house was abandoned, but still stading strong, like it was still serving a purpose on the sun beaten prairies. This was shot with a Canon 6D and a 24mm prime lens, f22 and 1/30 shutter speed.
about the photographer
Richard Collens is a Calgary Based lifelong photographer, with a desire for adventure, road trips and finding the beauty in nature and in otherwise mundane surroundings. Although Richard has had a camera in his hand all of this life, he really started taking things seriously later in life, focusing more on the quality and artistry of his photographs. Although colour provides so much, Richard is drawn to the real beauty of black and white contrasts, looking for more powerful images without colour, where he truly succeeds.back to gallery
