Some of the locals never saw themselve on a photograph. So it was the first time that they realized, it was them on the screen when I showed them the pictures.
The children figured out that they could see themselve on the small LCD-screen after the shutternoise. So we had incredible fun taking photos.
We had to shoot lot´s of pictures to get it right.
Shooting - running behind the camera - laughing - running in front of the camera -redoing it.
So it came that afterwards the people said: Go further on with that you´ve a talent. They´re no travel pictures they´re more than that, they tell a story.
That´s how I came to photography and I want go further...
In my work you can see feelings and constitutions of people in their environment. All my travels showed me awesome places where I shot different situations/people/expressions. My spirit of photography is to document real moments of life. Getting lost in this moments and be a part is my way to document.

This series was shot in a rural area in Vietnam. I was there travelling and connecting with the locals.Some of the locals never saw themselve on a photograph. So it was the first time that they realized, it was them on the screen when I showed them the pictures.

about the photographer
I started taking pictures during my University. I took some months off and went travelling to Vietnam and Cambodia. Blown away from the beauty of this countrys I couldn´t stop taking pictures and writing storys about how I felt, how the people are and what happened to the country I didn´t knew about.So it came that afterwards the people said: Go further on with that you´ve a talent. They´re no travel pictures they´re more than that, they tell a story.
