entry description
Modern-day Poland is often said to be divided into two socio-economic zones: Poland A (“Polska A”) and Poland B (“Polska B”). This ongoing project is a visual study of “Polska B”, the poorer, less sophisticated side of modern Polish society, found outside the cosmopolitan capital of Warsaw, in the smaller cities and towns. All photos are analog, taken with a Canon AE-1.about the photographer
I'm an American photographer, dividing my time between Los Angeles, CA, and Warsaw, Poland. In the past several years, I've taken part in a couple of group exhibitions, but only recently have been able to pursue photography the way I've always wanted to. I'm currently working on three ongoing projects in Central and Eastern Europe, one of which, "Polska B", is a documentary study of the poorer/less sophisticated side of Polish society, found outside the capital Warsaw, in the smaller cities and towns.back to gallery
