Lake Lucerne
I was very lucky with the cloud cover all day.
The clouds were nearly stagnant and needed at least 4 mins exposure to show any movement.
I noticed these two markers at the edge of the lake and used them for some well needed foreground interest.
It was edited in Photoshop using luminosity masks and gradients. It was cropped square to strengthen the composition.
Owen took up photography in 2007 after an Easter break to Amsterdam. While there, he and his wife Joy visited numerous art museums. He was blown away with what he saw. Dutch masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. Their paintings looked like photos. He knew he would never be able to paint like these, so he decided to buy a camera and try to take photographs in their style where possible.
Owen's style has changed since then and his images now are more serene, calm and minimal.
