Three long stays (in 2015 and 2016) were necessary to take these poetic pictures of the Huangshan (Yellows Mountains) China, with incredible pines gripped on the rocks and with phantasmagorical mists moving according to the wind. The Huangshan inspired chinese painters from the 14th century and I wanted to photograph these atmospheres to communicate the same emotion I felt in front of these sceneries. My project was to choose a minimalist expression. All images were taken very early in the morning, most of times before sunrise. So I stayed on the top of the mountains.back to gallery
