I found this Black Soldier Fly dead one morning in my garden and thought nothing of it but a good practice for image stacking. As I set my lens up close and personal with it's eyes I suddenly realized how much there is to this small insignificant insect, it's eyes are a marvel and for their sake I have added a tear, to commemorate these complex eyes.back to gallery
