For the first part of this long-term series on tree life and forest growth, the report focuses on workers working in tree nurseries.
The work is demanding, long hours are spent outdoors in bad weather. Women, mostly from the region and for several years employed by the tree nursery, settle into small spaces to work. They must concentrate, control and decide on the life of small shoots that will become under their supervision of trees to become. Minutia, rigor and discernment are the qualities required for this work which in our time is vital for the good of our planet. The men are involved in setting up and delivering the plants. These men and women are part of the gardeners of the forest.
