Underground L.A. is a look into the vast and unknown underground tunnel system of Los Angeles. Originally intended for pedestrians, these tunnels built in the 1920s and 1930s have now become dangerous lairs for corruption. Some have locked chain-link fences surrounding them and others have been permanently blocked off by cement. This series gives an inside look into the crime infested tunnels which once helped pedestrians safely cross busy highways and major intersections.about the photographer
Andrew Heiser is an international awarded photographer, storyteller, and artist. Originally from Indiana, he moved to Los Angeles 5 years ago to pursue his dreams of photography. Since then he has photographed celebrities such as the Kardashians, Kanye West, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Larry King, Carol Burnett, Ned Colletti, India Hicks, and others. Heiser's work has been exhibited, featured, and recognized by the Neutral Density Awards, Feature Shoot, House Beautiful, West Elm, CB2, Houzz, Kitchenaid, Inspired By This, Room Hints, Magic Magazine, etc. Aside from his professional accomplishments, Heiser has always had a strong passion for fine art photography.
