This shot was taken in a remote area of Utah's Grand Staircase Escalante that we call the Great Chamber. It's absolutely huge and takes quite a wide lens to capture the whole thing. From the first time I visited, I knew I wanted to take a Milky Way shot here. To add a little more interest to the scene, I climbed up the sand dune and shone my headlight out towards the cosmos.back to gallery
