The Angel Tree
Beneath the canopy of this tree is one of those moments I’ll never forget. I needed soft, overcast light for this image. As sunny skies would have destroyed the mood, and created too much contrast on the foliage. It had just finished raining and the tree just popped with life and the soft light of early morning was further diffused by the overcast skies.
I studied the tree from all angles and took a series of shots from different perspective. A panoramic tripod head enabled me to take multiple exposures to capture the entire beauty and the width of this magnificent tree.
My process is a “slow photography” where in 2 hours probably only a few or a dozen exposures will be made, that provides the chance to really “see” what is there and let the scene reveal itself. Each photograph is unique and a large amount of effort goes in to the capture of the images with great care taken during the processing stages to ensure the final print is truly a work of art.
Photography is a source of inspiration that allows me to reveal the relationship between the outside world of Nature and the inside world of dreams, thoughts, emotions, desires and wishes.

about the photographer
I am completely self-taught photographer from Fort Myers, Florida – specialize in stunning panoramic photography of fine art landscapes from United States of America and beyond. The majority of my photographs are captured with a medium format digital camera which is far superior to any full-frame digital camera available and allows incredible detail to be captured. My process is a “slow photography” where in 2 hours probably only a few or a dozen exposures will be made, that provides the chance to really “see” what is there and let the scene reveal itself.
