London Eye
I preferred to present this image with changes of the tonality and evidencing the giant wheel, thus giving the name to this photograph as "London Eye".
On the other hand the image submits to an overt and conceptual view of the city, a different view of how the daytime movement would dissipate into a single ascendant at night, as a liberation, in a good sense, from the agitation that occurs during the day .
However, having a small digital camera, I started to acquire analog equipment and develop the photography learning activity in a self-taught way, using very old and medium format machines. My favorite camera is the Zeiss Ikon Nettar.
I have participated in many contest and teach photography for students in schools in portugal.
There are some awards:
2017 1st place in still life, at the Xposure festival, in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
2018 and 2020 Portugal National Award at the Sony Awards and commended at the same contest.
2021, a series of my photographs that address the problem of plastic on the environment and food, is an integral part of the exhibition at the Xposure festival, in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
35awards 2016, 2nd place in conceptual.
Monochrome Awards 2017 - 3rd place in conceptual
35awards 2017 best photo project
FAPA AWARDS 2017, 2019 and 2021 Nominee

entry description
A panorama of the city of London, by almost 1am in the morning, I captured this image this year during the trip to the sony awards.I preferred to present this image with changes of the tonality and evidencing the giant wheel, thus giving the name to this photograph as "London Eye".
On the other hand the image submits to an overt and conceptual view of the city, a different view of how the daytime movement would dissipate into a single ascendant at night, as a liberation, in a good sense, from the agitation that occurs during the day .
about the photographer
My name is Antonio Bernardino Martins Coelho, I am from a small village in the north of Portugal, where I live. I am 40 years old, married and father of two girls. I work as an electrical engineer. A taste for painting was evident in me early on, but it was only in 2010 after a trip to Cuba that I became interested in photography, having captured a lot of images. However, having a small digital camera, I started to acquire analog equipment and develop the photography learning activity in a self-taught way, using very old and medium format machines. My favorite camera is the Zeiss Ikon Nettar.
