Memory Box: Things and Facts

entry description
Memory recalls some moment in the past. But it can vary by people to people. It can even be different from point of time. This selectivity and subjectivity seemed similar to photographs. The 3 dimensional object gets framed into a 2 dimensional photo. I imagined that my memory box sunk in the water of time. A box can be a place, an event, or a person. Whenever I recall something, the memories shown as a combination of one sided photos are hung on a single line. The things in the small photos are the objects found in my house when I shot this series. It shows that the memories belong to me, and piece by piece it partly shows who I am. The selection of photos, the combination differs each time, and the angle of the dangling photos differs every time I recall. This represents the distorted memories whose story often tends to change.about the photographer
I Have many stories to tell. Small stories of everyday life, with questions I try to answer. Photography helped me understand myself, and the world surrounding me. Expressing myself with photography itself has been a great joy, and I am grateful for this.back to gallery
