BARCELONA SHOCKED
Thy city was dyed with blood due to a terrorist attack in “Las Ramblas” comited by ISIS. The people of Barcelona hadn’t lived something similar since ETA’s bombing in the “Hipercor” thirty years ago.
That fateful afternoon a van hit hundreds of people killing 14 of them. Running away from the site, the terrorist stole another car and ended up killing the driver.
Some hours later, another terrorist attack occured in Cambrils causing another mortal victim. The day after, lots of people, some citicens of Barcelona and some that were just visiting the city those days, filled “Las Ramblas” with improvised shrines and altars in the places were each victim was killed.
The following days some manifestations under the slogan “No tenim por” (we are not afraid) were also held.
These manifestations were followed by all the different comunities of Barcelona, including the muslim one, who wanted to show their rejection to these terrorist attack.
11 days later, the different shrines were removed after being visited by hundreds of people.
"We live in an anesthetized society that needs to be aware of real stories that make them awaken from that deep sleep that has subjected this current system, get out of the couch and act".
Born in Girona, Cristian Giráldez's begins to form as a professional photographer in 2013 in "Grisart International School of Photography" specializing in lighting and video.
