NUTOPIA
I've drawn inspiration from novels such as Thomas More's Utopia or the dystopian We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Also from Surrealist artists such as René Magritte, graphic artists such as Escher and architectural movements such as Archigram. Furthermore, I've also taken inspiration on Wes Anderson's filmography and dystopian films/series such as The Man in the High Castle or The Hunger Games. Finally, I've taken inspiration on alternative communities and Micro Nations.
The project includes a Manifesto that contains the principles of this society. I've also created the NUTOPIAN Passport (ready for issue for any new NUTOPIAN Citizens) and maps for each of the NUTOPIAN locations.
My practice aims to explore the dialectical element intrinsic to the image, via playing with the crossover of fiction and reality. All images used in the photomontage have been taken by me, using both digital and film cameras.

This project comprises a series of photocollages of a NUTOPIAN society composed by the Coalition of Confederate City-states of Nutopia (C.C.C.N).
