Through my pictures I am trying to draw my viewers into a peaceful and contemplative state of mind. I wish to share with them the meditative state I am in when I take these shots. A misty morning on the Sado River. This maze of piers built by fishermen is a huge inspiration but is unfortunately being impacted by mass tourism and the decrease of the local population of fishermen.about the photographer
I have been doing photography for over 20 years, gradually developing a more structured approach to my favourite subject matter, landscapes, and to the medium of photography as a whole. Visiting far or near places and trying to bring back a unique version of its mood and energy has indeed always been a fascinating process for me. I have been dwelling on the BW medium and long exposures techniques to support a minimalist and sometime abstract approach to my photographies.Through my pictures I am trying to draw my viewers into a peaceful and contemplative state of mind.
