Mausoleum/mapping of war traces 1945 and today's life
I took these photos with a small Sony W-830, no further equipment, because I did not want to disturb the mourning people in the entrance area.

entry description
These photos show the backside of mausoleum buildings which have bullet holes and shrapnel scars of the battle of Berlin April 1945. The mausoleums date back to the 18th and 19th century, made for eternity with Brandenburg brick, Westfalian sandstone and Egyptian granite, on a cemetery in Kreuzberg. Now they are in a state of decay, the families who once built them are all dead. But there is - forbidden - life. Wild paintings with vivid colours dance around the scars and holes. Life puts another layer on these traces.I took these photos with a small Sony W-830, no further equipment, because I did not want to disturb the mourning people in the entrance area.
