This series highlights the amount of arsenic within the River Tamar's waters released into the streams by the mining from the 1800s through to the 1950s. Although arsenic contamination of this scale isn’t of concern it is still important to note that during the mining era, the water itself would have been toxic to many animals and plants around the area. Arsenic tests are common to acquire and when testing the water, a result of blue will conclude that arsenic is present.
This is a series of photographs taken over the course of a week. Adding coloured dye to the water source of the roses that match the coloured readings of the arsenic indicator paper. The coloured dye is to visually represent how pollution is getting into the local environment.
I aim to trigger a sort of reminiscence through my photography. This reminiscence is where I can begin to sculpt a journey through emotions for my audience to experience. Even through commercial work, I aim to generate a feel for nostalgia and awe. Capturing segments of time in a way in which it can take the viewers back to the moment itself. An immersive encounter people can get lost in.

about the photographer
Each story I tell must be an experience that travels through one’s emotions. The challenge is to film beyond the narrative; to delve deeper into creating atmospheric tensions to move an audience. My goals will always be driven by ones inner self. To touch the audience in ways that spark memories so that every individual will find a unique connection with the content on a personal level.I aim to trigger a sort of reminiscence through my photography.
