Scarista curves
The next day, torrential rain and continuous since the early morning. The water flows from all sides, on each slope appear streams that were not present the day before, peat disgorges severely. Even Scots are surprised by the amount of water that falls, that's saying! I waited for a possible thinning on the rain radars. At the end of the day, a brief interruption is announced. While torrents of water continue to fall, I bet on the reliability of the forecast and reached the location.
Arrived on the spot (on the good side of the beach this time), I waited a moment before suddenly the rain stopped.I throw myself towards the beach! Here too the rain has changed the scene: a relatively powerful watercourse cuts the beach in two and throws itself into the sea. Little worries, the point of view that I aim is on the other side of this ephemeral river ... a local guy gives up the crossing but tells me that with my boots it should be ok, and it was! It is only once i crossed the river that I visualize the curve formed by this new stream, the doubts vanish, I was fascinated by the scene and tought tha i was really right to try it!
I started by shooting a wide variety of subjects (architecture and street photography in particular) before heading rapidly towards landscape photography. I both love photography, nature and travel, that led me to the search of wild, untouched, landscapes. I travelled around some quite wild countries: Scotland, Iceland, New Zealand, Spain, Lofoten islands (Norway), Canada etc. These regions with sometimes harsh climates and changing weather conditions seduce me for the unexpected shooting conditions and for the beauty of their landscape and the lights they offer.
Above all and whatever type of photography i can shoot, i favour simplicity in the framing to bring out the essential and try to emphasize the graphic lines, curves and colors. When it's possible, I like to push the process to the end and give a clean side, even minimalist, to my shots.
When I discovered long exposure, I was immediately fascinated by the new possibilities this offered me. Using tripod and neutral density filters, it is possible to sublimate reality by creating a special atmosphere where clouds fly into the sky and the water become smooth and wispy. Far beyond the Normandy coasts where i shoot my first long exposure shot, tirelessly i travelled in search of strong moods and atmospheres.

entry description
I submit a photo to which I am particularly attached. I tell you the story behind the shot: i spend two weeks on the fabulous island of Lewis and Harris (Scotland),scouting the location the day before i took this shot, I reach the beach by the "wrong way" and walk up a few kilometers. In the end, I discovered a spot with great potential and i leaved with only one desire: coming back! The next day, torrential rain and continuous since the early morning. The water flows from all sides, on each slope appear streams that were not present the day before, peat disgorges severely. Even Scots are surprised by the amount of water that falls, that's saying! about the photographer
I was born in 1979 in Paris, where I still live and work. For the past ten years, photography has been my daily passion and a huge part of my leisure time.I started by shooting a wide variety of subjects (architecture and street photography in particular) before heading rapidly towards landscape photography.
