A Cellist's Dream
I tried to answer those questions creatively and put my whole heart in it, as it is my first photo series I worked on and published. All photos were taken in the ruhr-area where I grew up and still live, so even the locations (and the horse) have a special feeling to me and make the series true to what I thought: If I was a musician right before a concert, I'd dream myself to familiar places that come with a variety of emotions.
Note: The photos don't include a photo manipulation, all shots are only lightly edited in Photoshop.
This is the question that drives and shapes me as an equine photographer. I take my photos in a horse friendly environment, where the horse has almost more decision over the photo than I do - even with domesticated horses. Due to that, I can show the horse with its true emotions and movement.
I've grown up in the ruhr-area of Germany and been partly self-employed since 2016 - next to another job and my full-time university classes. "Hooofprints at heart" is something people would describe me as, since I've loved horses since I was a little girl. I guess, it wasn't "just a phase".

entry description
Right before the concert, what would a Cellist dream of? Where would he dream himself? Is it a warm and lonely place or maybe even something dangerous and troubling?I tried to answer those questions creatively and put my whole heart in it, as it is my first photo series I worked on and published. All photos were taken in the ruhr-area where I grew up and still live, so even the locations (and the horse) have a special feeling to me and make the series true to what I thought: If I was a musician right before a concert, I'd dream myself to familiar places that come with a variety of emotions.

about the photographer
How can we capture the grace and elegance of horses and giving them as much freedom of choice for their own ideas at the same time? This is the question that drives and shapes me as an equine photographer. I take my photos in a horse friendly environment, where the horse has almost more decision over the photo than I do - even with domesticated horses. Due to that, I can show the horse with its true emotions and movement.
I've grown up in the ruhr-area of Germany and been partly self-employed since 2016 - next to another job and my full-time university classes. "Hooofprints at heart" is something people would describe me as, since I've loved horses since I was a little girl. I guess, it wasn't "just a phase".
