It was quite tricky to take it, because I had to dive a little without any aid as snorkel, taking care not to stir up the ground of the lake, and at the same time to focus on the malamute swimming towards me.
The lake is located in the swiss alps and we were there in the early morning, so that there were not many other people.
I wanted to capture a swimming dog in its entirety above and below water and was really happy with this shot.
In my almost 17 years with them, I have learned to have infinite patience and to act as fast as lightning at the right moment. Two qualities that are essential in my work with the dogs.
I have made it my goal to create images of each of these wonderful creatures that show our appreciation and love for them and also express their uniqueness.
In my photography, I like to show the dog as part of the landscape, to represent their connection with nature, to express freedom and the original wildness.
