The Baseball Player
This photo was made during one of the most boring events in my life - a corporate entertainment organized by my company in USA, with visiting the baseball game.
Marlins Park, Miami, 2018, May 03. Taking photos in Marlins Park is free and allowed for any non-professional cameras shorter 8 inches in maximal extended position from back camera to front lens element. Thus, only pocket cameras could be used.
This static photo was made by me cropping half-frame in post processing from my 20 MP Canon G7 mark II.
Nevertheless, with some post-processing decent images with non-sport emotions are quite possible.
I put them both in Open Theme and Story, as this competition does not allow non-professional sport photography. And this is exactly non-professional, but just simply nice.
Despite inevitable technical drawbacks during a shot, the final photography is about delivering feelings. Sometimes imperfectness may display more soul than cold and technically accurate precision.
My favorite tip from Bruno Barbey of MAGNUM is: "I always discourage people from being full-time photographers if they have other ways of making money. If you really want to do personal work you may be better off doing it as a hobby."

about the photographer
Continuing successful career in large business, I remain a hobby photographer for over 35 years. Last 25+ years I have been travelling worldwide on business, always in transit and never stay long in one place. Most of the time I feel photography like a "blitz chess party" – instant opportunity for a shot and no chance to replay or correct. I rarely can wait for better light, better composition or better chance. Often I make photos in rush and horizon line is not precise.Despite inevitable technical drawbacks during a shot, the final photography is about delivering feelings. Sometimes imperfectness may display more soul than cold and technically accurate precision.
