Shadow Skater

I got the idea for the "Shadow Skater" series at a skateboarding event during which I repeatedly noticed the skaters' dynamic shadows. From that point on I no longer focussed on the skateboarders themselves, but on their shadows. On my computer, I removed the skaters and reconstructed their boards. I only assigned one color to each board, so that their designs would not draw the attention away from the shadows. The shadows are supposed to appear dynamic, and are intended to be skateboarding on the colorful boards. To underline the shadows' dynamics, some pictures have been rotated or mirrored.back to gallery
