Large-scale construction of typical residential buildings began in USSR in the late 50s - early 60s. "Khrushchevka" that’s the name the project recieved among people. It was time of great hope, and people’s faith in the imminent onset of "bright future." In 2017 renovation program was announced in Moscow. It is expected to demolish more than 4,000 five-story buildings, those “khrushevkas”. This project is about 50 windows which were part of the houses included into the renovation program. Private life of people is hidden behind each window. All of these people once were united by a common bright idea, that soon we would be able to see only through the fotos.back to gallery
