Collective Strength
'Collective' meaning connected, unified and universal; 'Strength' meaning energy, vitality and power. To quote Rupi Kaur 'we all move forward when we realise how resilient and striking the women around us are.' We are all connected, our bodies similar yet diverse. Our bodies tell many stories of lines, curves, shapes, as well as our experiences, identity and maturity.
This body of work aims to portray the collective strength of women; celebrating the way we support each other, embracing the body diversity and uniqueness of every woman.
Ella's passion for photography began at an early age. She was introduced to her first darkroom in High School, and continued on to study a Bachelor of Photography at Queensland College of Art, Brisbane, graduating in 2014. She then moved to Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, before settling back home on the Gold Coast.
With 8 years of experience working in the Photography industry, Ella specialises in Fine Art Photography, shooting both Digitally and on analogue Film.

In the process of making this body of work, two words came to mind; 'Collective Strength.'
