My work is purely artistic and is focused primarily on the quest and understanding of the human condition. By extension, the portraits that I realize have, unpretentious and with sincerity for vocation the nakedness of the human soul. In this series composed of images realized during the last years, partly in the studio and the occasion, I wanted to emphasize the human essence. Where we reveal ourselves in our vices without being afraid of the opinion of others. Live our true nature through the bad weather of life. All revealed and assumed through the beauty and vulnerability of the subjects. My strong, vibrant images are above all questions about a genre too often constrained by stereotypical expectations. Mon travail est purement artistique et est tourné principalement vers la quête et la compréhension de la condition humaine. Par extension, les portraits que je réalise ont, sans prétention et avec sincérité pour vocation la mise à nue de l’âme humaine. Dans cette série composée d'images réalisées au courant de cette dernières années, en parti en studio et l'occasion, j'ai voulu mettre l’accent sur l'essence humaine. Où l'on se révèle dans nos vices sans avoir peur de l'opinion de l'autres. Vivre notre vrai nature à travers les intempéries de la vie. Le tout révélé et assumé à travers la beauté et la vulnérabilité des sujets. Mes images fortes, vibrantes, sont avant tout des questionnements sur un genre trop souvent contrainte par des attentes stéréotypées. about the photographer
Kano Kano is a photographer living in Montreal. Her photographic practice is in its essence supported by emotion. Her purely artistic works bear witness to a particular desire to explore human nature. She is interested in identity issues and beauty criteria by exploring bodies forcing us to question the codes of today's society. By extension, the portraits she produces have for vocation, without pretension and sincerity, the human soul's exposure. Before embracing the photographer's career, Kano Kano studied economics and politics at the H.E.C and the University of Montreal, where she moved towards a career as a journalist. However, the desire to create has quietly established itself for the expression of her creativity. Her artistic journey began at Collège Lasalle, where she studied fashion design. All diplomas in hand, she left Montreal to live and work in Hong Kong. A few years later, she returned home, where photography stood out as her medium. In 2017, Kano Kano decided to enroll in an international school of photography. A year plus later, she graduated from Collège Marsan, where she developed a strong style for portraiture and nude. Since then, Kano Kano's works have been noticed internationally: her images are published in magazines, galleries, and international awards.
