In the last 5,000 years, horses have evolved from purely functioning as working animals to becoming companions to humans and symbols of resiliency. Today, the most evolved of these horses compete in different disciplines marked by the style of their mane and tail. Inspired by the tropes of fashion photography, I used light, shadow, and negative space to elicit a classic sensibility to a timeless subject. Confident and poised, each animal appears to be carved from stone and is a near-perfect example of their species.about the photographer
Through a fashion-inspired lens, photographer and filmmaker Drew Doggett tells extraordinary stories of diverse cultures, animals, places, and communities. He has received over 130 prestigious international awards and has had his artwork featured in many publications, such as Conde Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Forbes, Bloomberg, Fortune, The Daily Mail, and Outside Magazine.
