entry description
My stomach hurt, and the vomiting followed with fierce hurls. Thoughts of doubt swirled around my head, I wasn’t sure if I had the strength to make the summit. I peered over to my partner walking on what felt to be the edge of reality. I raised my camera, and for a few moments the silver lining released me from my pain cave. Gratitude overcame doubt as I sunk my axe into the ice yet once again, climbing upwards.about the photographer
I was born in Seattle Washington in the late 80's and lived there till about five years old. After a job relocation for my dad we landed in Denver, Colorado. I grew up like a normal suburban kid and had a serious passion for Skateboarding. At 19 I moved to Australia with my family which is where I fell in love with Photography. After returning to the states I decided to attend Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. A passion for solo backpacking grew over my time there , and shortly after graduating a friend introduced me to Ice Climbing. I lost sight of my camera for many years and just climbed. Before I knew it, a desire to document and transcend these adventures became un deniable.back to gallery
