In different parts of the world, body modification became a symbol of the culture of some people. These women not only use this modification to beautify but also to continue a cycle of identity that unifies their community. But now, they have more voice also, and they are starting to decide to keep or not with this kind of tradition. Nowadays, young women are not following the path of the elders, and these images can represent the last women to do not have a choice over their own bodies.about the photographer
