my wild nature
Wild velvet : A soft, perfect profile is the one which comes out from the front of the forest around the Mato Grosso, in Brazil: it’s the jaguar that my lens is framing; what a satisfying experience, as it was several exhaustive days I was looking for it, while waiting in the marshy zone of the Amazon River. And it was right in that moment while it was making royal but velvety steps, that the shot immortalised the adult jaguar which can weight up to 96kg and is a fierce predator. However, its elegance convey a whole other thing.
Resting in the cool weather: It’s not a weasel, nor is it a ferret: it’s rare, the only species in the genus Eira, what I have seen in front of me is something you can’t usually see, unless you’re in South America. The Tayra is this cute mustelidae found at 220km from São Paolo in Brazil, in between in the mountains, where it surely was looking for food without minding my lens. Rodents and other small mammals, lizards and invertebrates, or even fruit and honey: what was the small omnivore looking for?
Huge hunt in Chile:A puma, considered a god by the pre-Columbian Maya religion and the Aztecs, that I here photographed, while it was enjoying the crisp air of a December morning,

entry description
Small hours: wouldn’t even be able to notice it, camouflaged in the undergrowth, if it wasn’t for that curious and focused look and its small pinkish nose. The ocelot of this photograph suddenly came out of nowhere between the vegetation during a night tour in Pantanal in the centre of Brazil, I only had few seconds before it’d disappear in the forest. Certainly, it was hunting and he probably wandered several kilometres the whole night, before finding food.Wild velvet : A soft, perfect profile is the one which comes out from the front of the forest around the Mato Grosso, in Brazil: it’s the jaguar that my lens is framing; what a satisfying experience, as it was several exhaustive days I was looking for it, while waiting in the marshy zone of the Amazon River.
