Serenity - Alien Cities
With this in mind, I like to see my images as windows, or portals to a futuristic, parallel universe, hidden behind the world we assume as real.
My own tales behind these images are personal and might, when told, reduce the sense of mystery I hope to evoke. Instead, I invite the viewer to enter the realm of Serenity, and imagine her/his own stories.
Mostly self-taught until 2008, I attended a professional photography course for 3 years in Antwerp, Belgium, where I graduated in 2011. The learning never stops though: Improving my photographic and editing skills is a lifelong process.
What I love about photography and image editing is, that they offer me the possibility to control the balance between reality, and my personal interpretation of it.
Photographing modern, old and decaying architecture, abandoned transportation and landscapes, then turning them into images that transcend reality, reflecting my ideas, is my true passion.
A number of my fine art images are included in private collections.
At the moment, I'm focusing on personal projects to create a body of work for future exhibitions.

entry description
The common thread through my work is the idea that what our eyes see as real, is merely an interpretation of our brain.
