My Country Life

entry description
Despite my recent marriage, I have been going through a load of emotional turmoil due to my family's disapproval of this loss of single status. I found occasional solace in the peaceful quietness of the English countryside. Hesitant at first, being a city girl through and through, my husband adores and lives in the country so I decided to give it a try on weekends. I was also going through many other changes. I have just moved from Canada to the UK and adjusting to married life has its ups and downs too. When the Coronavirus pandemic hit, we decided to base ourselves in the country until it was all over. This scared me, as I had never enjoyed being in the country for more than a couple of weeks. But during this time, I have reconnected with nature, felt intense personal growth and shared the most intimate and beautiful moments with my husband. This is a diary of personal pain, contemplation, pushing boundaries and the intimacy in relationships that is communicated through touch and silence.about the photographer
