Sacrality
"Sacrality" is a project born in Varanasi, along the banks of the Ganges River.
Varanasi is considered one of the oldest cities in the world, but for Hindus it takes on a much more powerful meaning, in fact the western bank of the Ganges is the only place where gods allow men to escape the samsara.
Religion here plays a fundamental role in the life of every Hindu, it manifests itself through a symbiotic bond that binds Hindus to the sacred river, from children playing along the ghats, to one of the most celebratory rites for The Hindu religion, the cremation of bodies on Manikarnika Ghat. The city in all its aspects portrays an absolute link with sacredness, here life and death are intertwined with every step.
What fascinates me about photography? the art of transmitting emotions. So through my work I try to send a message, emotionally involving the viewer, arousing feelings in them. To do this, I try to portray the unaltered reality in its purest manifestation. Transmit the beauty, the drama of some moments to repropos those emotions to those who observe.
