entry description
The characters in this series are ordinary people, found on the street. I aim to rescue an essence of the one who lends itself to being portrayed. Sometimes the shot is so fast that it goes unnoticed. Other times it requires several tests. The main thing is to build confidence so that they can convey who they really are, without makeup or rehearsed poses. Because the gross or exaggerated speaks of that, of the authenticity of real people, who stand in front of a camera proud of being able to show it.These photos were taken during 2018 and 2020 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
about the photographer
I never imagined that I would end up taking photos. As the son of a renowned photographer (Oscar Pintor), from my childhood I inevitably had a natural approach to the image. since I was 5 years old (with my twin brother) we posed for him, and several of those photos today hang in the most important museums in the world. Later, in my teens, I had my first attempts at the camera, but his influence was so great that I abandoned it without even starting. Then, when I had the opportunity to choose, I decided to pursue a film career, my great passion. Since then I have been directing and loving all the films I made, including the documentary about my father that I plan to release this year. Incredibly, in parallel to the movie I began to dare to take pictures again. Now I am sure that photography has always been inside me (in fact I am cinematographer for cinema), and I happy about it.Pablo Pintor is born in 1972.
