entry description
This photo was made using a 4x5 large format film camera and film. The photo is made at Montaña de Oro state beach in central California coast. a 10 stop ND filter was used for the long exposure. as one can imagine, doing a very long exposure on a film camera of this size can be a sensitive task as any small movement or wind can destroy the exposure. With the additional reciprocity failure for film, the exposure time is exponentially high. The photo was made with Fuji velvia 50 transparency film, which was later covered to black and white using Silver Efex. The photo was made using a wooden camera, Chamonix 45F with a nikon 135mm lens which is relatively normal angle of view.about the photographer
I am a Primary Care physician based in San Diego, California. I am also a Landscape Photographer. Landscape Photography has always been a passion of mine. Having a passion for the outdoors, I have a special appreciation for the nature surrounding us. My goal is to bring this awareness to the rest of us with my photography. As the world becomes more chaotic, cities become more congested and grow larger, the natural world around us is shrinking. I am hoping that through my eyes, you also would have the same appreciation and passion for our beautiful planet. I am hoping to continue to evolve as a photographer, and as a conscious human and make an impact, no matter how small.back to gallery
