entry description
This was taken at Mono Lake which is a saline lake covering over 70 square miles. From 1941 to 1994 the city of Los Angeles diverted so much water from the Mono Basin streams that the level of Mono Lake dropped 45 vertical feet, lost half of its volume, and doubled its salinity. This is a beautiful landmark and home to many stunning sunsets you may never see again.back to gallery
