entry description
This photo is from the famous Hornbill festival that takes place every year at Nagaland, India in the Kisama Heritage Village. This was my first visit to the 10-day long celebration in 2018. The colorful Hornbill festival is all about bringing awareness and preservation of bio-diversity along with the display of rich diverse culture and traditions of Nagaland. It's a myriad of culture and traditions that makes the experience of the festival so much more colorful and vibrant. Naga tribes men and women dress up beautifully in their locally weaved clothes, head gears, jewelry and and other intricacies all throughout the festival. I took this shot of the Naga tribesmen after their day's performance in the festival, who sat together to rejoice and what better way to capture the essence and feel of the festival than all of them in one frame. The expression, the colors, the traditional outfits, all very much sum up the festival in this image, is what I believe.about the photographer
