Great Hammerhead In Sun rays
Richard believes that through sharing images of the amazing underwater world we can educate more and more people on the need for aggressive conservation efforts to protect endangered underwater species against illegal fishing, shark finning and ocean pollution.
His number one love is sharks. He has dived extensively with sharks and tells us they are not mindless killers, but misunderstood apex predators that have been mischaracterized by film and TV.
Richard grew up in Northern England and has resided in Michigan for over 20 years. He travels extensively to capture spectacular underwater images, the best of which can be viewed and purchased on his website, https://www.richardcondlyffe.com

entry description
In this shot I was able to capture a Great Hammerhead Shark in the foreground against the blue water, with well defined angles for her hammer and fins. Overhead, the sun illuminates the scene, with clouds castings shadows on the ocean floor. Finally, the Nurse Shark in the background gives depth to the image and rounds out the composition nicely. Taken in Bimini, Bahamas.about the photographer
