911 Memorial Lights 2020
This shot was taken from the Pier at Jersey City, NJ (Across the Hudson River) on a very windy night. The Memorial Lights were approximately 1 ½ miles away from the Pier, where I took this photograph. There were lots of people on the pier that night as you can imagine. The movement of the Pier and the wind made this shot a challenge.
I took this shot with a Fuji 300mm T lens (large format lens) modified by SK Grimes to work on my ALPA x/y camera using a medium format Phaseone IQ3 100 with electronic shutter feature. It was a 50 second exposure, ISO 50 @ f16.
The file size will print up to 5' x 4'
This image in not a cropped shot. This is the full frame capture!

about the photographer
I am an Architectural Photographer with 20 years experience. My speciality is in creating views as if you are standing there looking at the scene. This is accomplished by taking photographs of several sections of the view and then merging them into one image. Color management is one of my favorite aspects in my process.back to gallery
