The After Now
The images portray carefully manufactured miniature landscapes which showcase a world where animals take over spaces that humans have taken from them in the past. I used only organic elements like flowers, tree branches, small plants, sand and others of the like, combined with on set special effects such as fog, fire and running water, to achieve a natural feel to the photographs. However, the animals, houses and furniture are all plastic toys, chosen to express how we have altered the world to suit our need for comfort and entertainment.
This mixture of elements creates photographs that invite the viewer into hidden spaces that are slightly unsettling and haunting.

entry description
The After Now is a series of photographs that talk about the impact that human lifestyle has had on the environment and its ecosystems. Each frame acts as a window into other worldly moments charged with symbolism, aesthetic references to old masters paintings, mythology and childhood stories. The images portray carefully manufactured miniature landscapes which showcase a world where animals take over spaces that humans have taken from them in the past.
