ALBERTO DAVID FERNANDEZ spain
title
Aike
Vestiges of human presence in the territory, traces of our actions that become iconic.
The project is about the questions that arise from the contemplation of the humanised landscape. There is not nostalgia nor melancholy, just the pure amazement of its discovery and the observation of the impermanence or persistence of the built elements in the landscape.
This is a long-term and extensive work. The images are linked by spatial, metaphorical, and conceptual associations.
His work consists, for the most part, in images captured in urban environments and architectural works both known and anonymous. He is strongly influenced by his training in the world of design and image, which has been recognized with awards such as the 2017 PIAM and in design competitions for urban spaces.
This intimate relationship with the city has given him sensitivity to capture particular aspects of it that are fundamental to most of his photographic projects. It is also worth highlighting his extensive international experience, which nurtures the locations in which he develops his work.
