Sailor's Dismay

On a very foggy evening around midnight on June 19th 2019, a man from Brooklyn was sailing this boat home from Maryland when he hit a sandbar in Sea Bright New Jersey. About two weeks later when the tide was high enough I captured this photo a good half hour before sunrise (about a month prior to it being removed with a backhoe). I was thrilled that the sky was absolutely clear that morning, completely free of any clouds which I feel would have disrupted the minimalist character of this photo.back to gallery
