The Frozen Kingdom of the Snow Leopard
Two photographer brothers came upon this lost valley in 2016 and were amazed to find it home to a dense population of snow leopards in a relatively small territory. Their discovery led to this exceptional film about an elusive big cat that is rarely caught on camera.
A professional photographer since the age of 15, he has travelled around various regions of the world and has a particular interest in endangered species. Several books of his photographs have been published; they have been the subject of exhibitions and have been published dozens of times in the press. He practices freediving and rebreather diving, aerial and high altitude photography; he loves tackling technical challenges in order to get closer to nature and capture images that are ever more unusual and exceptional. His photographs won awards in the 2009 and 2013 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
In 2001, he founded the association “Regard du Vivant”, which now publishes books on photography, organises major photographic exhibitions and produces wildlife films. Since 2010, he has also been organising sea cruises to observe marine mammals, and nature-based tours abroad.
His documentary on Tibetan wildlife was commissioned by Argelès-sur-Mer (for their "Children of the Sea" exhibition) and the "wildlife photography festival of Monter-en-Der". It has been the subject of an exhibition opened in November 2018 in Monter-en-Der.
