Mustangs
While these horses are stuck in the crossfire of an emotional and controversial struggle, I encourage you to take interest in our mustangs and help preserve their place in our lands. Through these images I share intimate moments of them in their natural state of being, free. Our wild horses are living symbols of the American West and these images are a tribute to them.
Cardelucci received a BFA from Chapman University majoring in Graphic Design. Her images have received recognition in the IPA Int'l Photography Awards, Black & White Spider Awards, and ND Awards. Jessica's Photographs have been exhibited at New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU), Community Art Project’s gallery in Wells Fargo Bank Laguna Beach, John Wayne International Airport, and with the National Park Service at Point Reyes National Seashore.
After spending her career creating physical prints, she discovered the technology of the blockchain in early 2021. Combining her love of art and tech, she chose to release her images as digital tokens on the Ethereum blockchain, becoming an early adopter of this new frontier. Her images have been collected by one of the industry’s most respected collectors 33NFT, sold on SuperRare, the industry's top curated platform, and are available on the secondary market.

entry description
Horses have been intertwined in my life as long as I can remember. After the recent passing of my horse I turned back to photographing our wild mustangs as a way to re-connect with these beautiful animals. America's mustangs are protected under The Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971, but today in an effort to control the population the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is rounding horses off our public lands. These efforts come with much controversy how to properly and humanely manage our cherished mustangs.
