entry description
Welcome to southern Utah and one of its many mesmerizing attractions, Factory Butte, so creatively named by early settlers who thought its outline resembled a huge factory building. The intense color differences of the terrain highlighted in this image showcase the area's geographic diversity and its only pronounced rock formation, which shrinks the surrounding landscape into insignificance. Dark coal, yellow clay, pale sandstone, and red-toned shale make up this prominent peak and the badlands attempting to envelop it. Funnily enough, I had originally attempted to take this photo at sunrise, but most of my plans were thwarted by uncooperative weather conditions. The only reason I outlasted the overcast conditions to capture this image was because I got my van stuck off-road in some of the soft clay. Were it not for this inopportune delay, I would have never stayed in this area long enough to witness the conditions that allowed me to take this panorama image from my drone.about the photographer
As an adventure and landscape photographer, I aim to make lasting memories and share my passion for visual media with my family, friends, and customers. I am on a mission to bring the spirit of adventure into your lives. I utilize the most cutting-edge equipment and apply my knowledge of artistic editing techniques to create and showcase signature images from my adventures around the world. Serving in the military for nearly a decade provided me with uncommon opportunities to visit and experience unique and distant parts of the world. Inspired by so many of my previous journeys in uniform, I felt a new call to adventure while stationed in the Hawaiian islands during my last tour of duty. I set out to explore and discover the unseen world from the highest mountaintops, among pods of wild dolphins, and along the shorelines of flowing volcanoes. Moved by both the power and the serenity felt on some of my life's most memorable adventures, I started my company with a vision -- with my camera in hand, my adventure continues so that you can see the world through my eyes.back to gallery
