«The last confession» is a series of photos on the places of worship of France and Italy left abandoned. Buildings with impressive architectures often present for decades reign on our earth. The interior remains a real architectural spectacle filled with details, paintings and especially emotion frozen in time. For some places, the time has come for nature to take over these rights, creating vegetation soil, cracks and mould all over the buildings. This is the tragic end of these places, once a gathering place, which no longer attracts anyone … the last confession has indeed happened.about the photographer
Anthony Sala, better known by the pseudonym “le_decay”, has been a passionate explorer photographer since 2016. He frequently travels the roads of France and Europe, driven by the desire to discover and capture the forgotten heritage of humanity.
