entry description
The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of North America's most popular drives and autumn is its most celebrated time of year. As the sun prepared to set off to the left of this image, the late afternoon light illuminated reds, oranges and yellows in the autumn foliage below. The beautiful layering of the mountains and their smokey appearance responded beautifully to transparency film.about the photographer
American conductor Gregory Wolynec is an enthusiast photographer with a passion for landscape, nature and travel photography. In 2019, he transitioned to film photography focused on a classic medium format system camera. This was inspired by youthful fascination with Ansel Adams' work, the beauty of his native Vermont and a long planned trip to some of the majestic national parks of the American west. His work employs bold contrast of light and dark to give the viewer sense of the majesty of the scenes he attempts to capture.back to gallery
