entry description
The original incentive for creating this image was formalistic, as for a long time I had desired to photographically exploit the pattern of a mosaic floor in an old apartment about to be renovated, hence with an uncertain future. I had vaguely envisaged it as some sort of defining frame or space of containment. My model helped me to approach this goal: Αt the time of the shooting I was rather consumed by thoughts on sentimental or even physical mistreatment between people involved in relationships, either romantic or familial. I chose the crucifix position as an utter symbol of sufferance; Two simple props, a black marble heart and a single white rose, were used to further imply the concept.back to gallery
