Jaffa, Israel
Jaffa is very cultural on its good side and very criminal on its bad side. It is lively and wild in heart and nature.
In this work, I portray some of the population of Jaffa, mainly young Arabs.
The photos were taken between 2017-2021.
At 21 years old, he started his photography career in the local fashion industry. Soon he was working with fashion designers and different publications, both local and overseas.
At the age of 24 he started his B.F.A studies at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design where he successfully graduated receiving The Elaine Cooper prize for his final exhibition- a video installation. A segment from that work, “Ani Firas”, was later exhibited in Tel-Aviv Museum of Art as part of a group exhibition called “Looper”.
The work of Einy focuses on the dynamics between the artist and his subjects and between the subjects and their natural surroundings, combining both fictional and documentary content.
He takes great interest in the physical and mental state of young men, mostly Arabs, living in an occupation country like Israel. In most of his work there is a masculine presence, either concrete or ideological. The tension of the encounter of the artist and his subject, often revels ideals of manhood, in a local aspect and a universal aspect as well.
In the last year, Einy published his first self published Artist’s book called “10pm Sunset”- a photographic documentation revolving around a summer trip to southern Italy and Sicily. He points his gaze towards masculine territories and the way they are shaped in the streets of Italy, the beaches and markets.
Right now he is working on his second Artist book called “Feverr”- showing photographs of young men in Israel while revealing the complexity of living in a place with such range of different cultures.
Also, He is working on several video arts and installations. Some are shown in this portfolio and some are

entry description
Jaffa is a city combined with Tel-Aviv. While Tel-Aviv is known for being a cosmopolitan city, Jaffa is a raw mixed place of Jewish, Muslims and Christian people. In this work, like in most of my work, I takes great interest in the physical and mental state of young men, mostly Arabs, living in an occupation country like Israel.Jaffa is very cultural on its good side and very criminal on its bad side. It is lively and wild in heart and nature.
