I am a landscape photographer based in the UK. I love exploring woodland and hiking up mountains in search of amazing light and epic compositions.
I have a passion for photography and the natural environment. Growing up I was often exploring my local woodland, discovering hidden trails and new environments. Since I first visited Scotland in 1999, I’ve enjoyed hiking up mountains and roaming through forests.
Among my favourite locations which I keep returning to are Glencoe in Scotland and Snowdonia in Wales. If you find a place you love it’s worth returning there as the weather conditions and time of year can dramatically change the scene.
My first camera was an old Pentax film camera (I can’t remember the model!) and took to it instantly. This was years before digital cameras, let alone LCD screens, so the learning curve was steep. I remember the anticipation on waiting for the negatives to be processed, and the disappointment a few days later when I received the prints.
My first digital camera was the Canon 20D back in 2005. Several thousand photographs later with a few upgrades along the way I feel it’s time to share my photos and not leave them gathering digital dust on my computer.

A lone boat caught my eye, sailing underneath moody skies it could not look any more alone but at the same time serene. Photo taken from the Isle of Skye looking East out to Sea from Kilt Rock.about the photographer
