about the photographer
Yidan Lu was born in China. She graduated in Stage Design in Academia di Brera, Milan, and her second Master’s degree in photography in San Francisco, the United States. Now she based in San Francisco. In her early days, she conducted many exploratory experiments in media, but she believes that photography is a medium that can help her quickly approach “aura”. She likes to repeatedly enhance her perception of objects during the shooting process, leading to the "instant truth". Her work involves topics such as religion, surrealism, spatial boundaries, and mysticism, and she constantly explores the breadth of the current medium. In the meantime, she is also the founder of Tu1Tu, which is an Art public welfare institution and purposes to help Chinese artists gain support from society.
